Eugene Todd graduated from Queen's University in 1970 and immediately took up a teaching post. Two years later, he joined the Eagle Star Group and rose to a senior position in the Claims Department. In 1974 he joined Guardian Royal Exchange and became a senior claims inspector.

He joined this firm in 1979 and qualified as a solicitor in 1983, immediately becoming a partner.

Eugene specialises in all litigation comprising civil litigation, criminal injuries, employment liability, employment health and safety, professional and medical negligence, public liability, consumer law and tort.
